I bought this app and after testing I found out very useful. I give 5 star because of everything works fine. I do not see any negative about this app. I have a few suggestions. I like each receipt to have its own oz or gram etc. When I start new I like to see new or add botton instead I have to click edit. I personally like this app. Very good job.

If you are just starting out in soap making, this is probably very informative. For myself, however this app was full of stuff that I already knew. It’s like “Duh”! I learned all the stuff on this app from doing research on the internet myself for free! So, for me, this app was definitely not worth $5.

I’d like the ability to add oils and ingredients, at the very least I’d like to see the SAP Value listed so I can find something with a similar value if my ingredient isn’t listed. Thanks!

I am not sure what the negative reviews were about. I find this app to be extremely complete, and totally customizable. It is the most complete app I have seen, even compared to programs I have used online. It's possible that some previous reviewers did not figure out how to add their own recipes. It took me a minute of looking around to see the little + sign in the corner for adding my own recipes. I absolutely love this app so far. It even gives you step by step instructions based on how you have formulated your recipe once it's done. It's brilliant. And I am relieved that my $5 was well spent. It will make my soap making easier and more fun. I hope it continues to get updated as the iOS systems change. It is an app I would like to be able to use for years.

This app is very useful. Maybe the bad reviews missed the well made included calculator. I love the calculator that shows graphically the quality of the resulting soap. I hope the developer will improve and update this app.

So nice to have a virtual lab book for all of my experiments. Nice to be able to put in multiple photos and process notes

This app has nothing to it but a few recipes . That's it. No calc , no information. I bought it based on reviews which I now believe to be fake. Do not waste your money. Wish I could get mine back!

I've been a soap maker for 35 yrs. I find this program to be the best design tool I've seen. Add to that, the author of this app responds immediately to suggestions. A really functional piece of software. Can't recommend higher.

This is not a lye calculator an should not be confused as such.

This app is awesome to a rookie like me. I'm just getting into soap making and don't like trying to find premade recipes on the Internet. With the recipe maker you just add the products you have and it will give you an awesome chart about the hardness and conditioning factor as well as the lye and water calculator. Well worth the small investment for someone without a soap making tutor. Totally hassle free. The one problem of this app is the English grammar. But the creator is Chinese I'm assuming so it's to be expected.

This app has got great potential to be a VERY useful tool for anyone making soap. There is a bit of a learning curve, but not a big one. The fact that it automatically calculates the exact amount of lye and water required based on an enormous inventory of oils and additives and their amounts, takes all of the guess work out of it. This is especially important because having a disproportionate amount of lye in relation to the oils and water can potentially make your soap so basic that it will irritate or burn your skin! It has an easy conversion system, so you can select grams, ounces, or pounds, and Celsius or Fahrenheit. It's also got an interesting feature that enables you to compile a recipe neatly into a report that you can then save as a picture to your phone. I will add that the only obvious issue is that it would benefit from improved translation into English. Aside from that, there are so many other excellent features, and this will be my goto soap making app from now on. Thank you to the developer!

I've created two batches of soap with this app now with success. I've enjoyed plugging in my favorite oils and going for that perfect, balanced, five-attribute star. This visual aid is brilliant and easy to use. A note on superfatting: consider your super-fatting oil (with weight) as ANOTHER ingredient on your list of main ingredients, and slide the button for that ingredient to "superfatting" on that page. This will be added at trace. Happy soaping :)
